A Hammanskraal man was arrested in the north of Pretoria yesterday.
The 26-year-old faces charges of murder, hijacking and armed robberies, according to police spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi.
Moremi said the man was wanted for the crimes committed in Soshanguve in April and in Limpopo last year.
He said the man was traced to Temba, Hammanskraal where he was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and 14 rounds of ammunition.

An unregistered motorbike was also found and seized on suspicion that it was used in the commission of a crime.
The man will appear in the local Moretele Magistrate’s Court soon.
The police expected to make more arrests soon.
Meanwhile, the police have warned motorists to be careful when driving in Hammanskraal after four hijackings were reported recently.
According to the police, a motorist was hijacked by people posing as police officers.
Moremi said a white VW Golf GTI had flashed its headlights at the motorist on the R101 to Pretoria.
“Initially he did not stop until the Golf flashed blue police lights and a man in civilian clothes and police issue bulletproof vest, approached and asked the motorist to produce his licence,” said Moremi.
“Then two armed men also got out the Golf and assaulted the man demanding his wallet. They then got into the car and drove him to Renstown, Hammanskraal, where they dropped him off.”

The hijackers fled with the car, laptop, clothes and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Moremi advised motorists stopped by the police to lock their doors and only open their windows to enable a conversation with the police.
“Ask the officer to identify himself to avoid being robbed by bogus police officers. Avoid driving alone at night and contact police to help you.”
