A man was arrested after he was caught trespassing at a Centurion house, next to the one where a domestic worker was murdered earlier this week.
Lyttelton police said the 44-year-old man is, however, not a murder suspect.
Police spokesperson Captain Dave Miller said on Wednesday there is no indication he could be linked to the murder.

“The suspect was found trespassing by a private security service and handed over to the police.”
Miller said the owner of the property, where the suspect was caught, has yet to file a complaint.

Miller could not comment whether the man matched the description of the assailant, who stabbed a domestic worker in the neck on Tuesday.
“At this stage we are following all leads and we are busy with the investigations. There is no evidence to indicate that he is a suspect.”
