West firearm, ammo, dagga suspects in custody
They were nabbed during a police patrol on Es'kia Mphahlele.
Four men have been arrested for possession of a firearm, ammunition and dagga in Pretoria West.
Police spokesperson Constable Sibongile Vuma said the arrest happened on Tuesday evening on the corner of Luttig Street and Es’kia Mphahlele Drive.
“Police were doing their usual patrol around Pretoria West area when they spotted five suspicious men walking in the street.
“The suspects were stopped and searched and one of them was found in possession of a firearm with a magazine and live rounds.”
Vuma said another suspect was found with dagga and two live rounds in his pocket.
“The third was found with live ammunition, while the fourth had cable wires in his possession.”
The four men were detained at Pretoria West police station.
