UPDATE: Spar employee still recovering after Moot shooting

A staffer was seriously wounded when the robbers attacked him on his way to deposit money.

The man shot in a robbery at the Kilnerpark Spar is still recovering, police said.

Spokesperson Captain Colette Weilbach said the investigation was still continuing and no arrest had been made.

Rekord reported that a 42-year-old staffer was seriously wounded when the robbers attacked him on his way to deposit money at a bank on Sunday morning.

Weilbach said the three robbers confronted the man outside the Super Spar.

“The employee was shot and the robbers fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money,” said Weilbach.

The police were on the hunt for the three.

Spar manager Louis Pereira said they were still shaken by the ordeal.

The store wished its employee a speedy recovery.
