“He is in hospital in a critical condition.”
Maleka said the police responded to the call around 03:00.

It was believed Jacobs was shot through a window when he went to investigate a noise he had heard.
Local CPF member, Vernon Wheeler said when CPF members arrived, the suspects had fled into the bushes.
AfriForum’s head of community safety Ian Cameron said trauma counsellors had been dispatched to the hospital to assist Lubbe and his daughter.
He said this had been the second attack in the area in a short space of time.
“An elderly lady was shot in her face three weeks ago.
We are not sure if this attack was by the same robbers, all we know is that the victims are traumatised and seriously hurt,” said Cameron.
