An elderly couple was reportedly attacked on their farm in the Boschkop area by an unknown number of attackers on Wednesday.
The attack is said to have occurred at 14:20. The couple is said to have been ambushed at their gate.
“Information available at this stage suggests that the husband was assaulted but not seriously injured,” said Marius Müller, national operational co-ordinator for AfriForum.
Müller said that the elderly man’s firearm was also taken.
“SAPS and community watch groups in the area are conducting a manhunt to find the suspects,” said Müller.
The police in Boschkop could not be reached for comment.
