Army’s parade dry run to affect city streets

"TMPD officers will be deployed to monitor the parade. Motorists are advised to avoid and use alternative routes during the time."

A dry run on Friday for the army’s parade that will take place on Saturday will result in motorists having to use alternative routes.

“The parade will start at Pretoria City Hall from 06:30 to 09:00. They will march around the National Museum of Natural History and then move back to the City hall,” said Tshwane Metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba.

The route for the parade are as follows:

From the City Hall they will march into Visagie Street and turn right at Paul Kruger Street, then left into Minnaar Street.

Along Minnaar Street, they will march until they turn left into Thabo Sehume Street and then left again into Visagie Street, after which they will march back to the City Hall.

“TMPD officers will be deployed to monitor the parade. Motorists are advised to avoid and use alternative routes during the time,” Mahamba said.
