Two trucks of trash in cleanup

Residents have been complaining that the field was dirty and littered with drug paraphernalia.

Two garbage trucks were filled with trash during a cleanup operation in the west of Pretoria on Tuesday by residents in the west of Pretoria.

The operation was organised by DA ward councillor Elma Nel and involved both residents and municipal workers.

“We are supposed to be proud of our town, but how can one be proud if it is dirty,” she said.

“Which is why we decided to clean up the area.”
