SCHOOL: Young Maragon Olympus swimmer achieves success in the pool

Abigail Scheffer (9) has qualified as the youngest Pretoria Aquatic Club (PAC) swimmer.

A Maragon Olympus Private School learner has achieved great success in the pool.

Abigail Scheffer (9) has qualified as the youngest Pretoria Aquatic Club (PAC) swimmer at this year’s Aquatics Gauteng Championships.

The busy bee also loves her culture doing both drama, music and modern dance but still being a top academic achiever.

She swims at Pretoria Aquatic Club Woodlands under the watchful eye of one of the best coaches with over 20 years of experience, Leon Anderson.

She won a silver medal in her 100 meters Backstroke and came 4th in 50 meters backstroke and 5th in 100 meters Freestyle at the Aquatics Gauteng Championships.

It is awesome to be part of a school that supports each child to reach for their dreams, be it in sports, academics, culture or all three.
