Elandspoort residents in the west of Pretoria were left without power after a transformer blew up.

Ward councilor Carlo de Bruin said the transformer at the mini-substation in Loopgraaf Avenue blew up around 13:20 on Wednesday.
He said electricity teams from the metro were attending to the problem.

De Bruin could not, however, say when power would be restored.
He urged residents to report any power outages to the metro.
