“Not only will the learners benefit from their studies but the school also, as the money raised will be used for the school’s needs.”

The event was held at the school and the learners were divided into four groups selling various items to schoolmates and staff.

Principal Lawrence Mukhari said this was part of the economic and management sciences curriculum.

“The learners first wrote an exam about entrepreneurs and today is practical. They are divided into groups of pupils each consisting of five pupils,” said Mukhari.

“They will then get marks toward their end of the year final mark.”

He said the aim was to help learners learn how to run and market a business.

The learners did research before they decided what to sell.

“Not only will the learners benefit from their studies but the school also, as the money raised will be used for the school’s needs,” said Mukhari.
