An elderly woman was brutally attacked by robbers when her house in Claremont, in the Moot, was burgled in the early hours of Friday.
“She was brutally attacked by 3 men,” Ria Venter, a CPF and Afriforum member and vice-principal of the red zone community said.
It was understood that several unknown items were stolen during the burglary.
“She’s been hospitalised,” Venter said.
The police spokesperson was not immediately available for comment at the time of going to press.
