Waste collection to resume in parts of Pretoria

The city activated the process of addressing the refuse removal backlog.

The usual waste collection schedule will resume next week following a strike, the city of Tshwane said.

To address the refuse removal backlog, residents in region 1 and 3 must make sure their refuse bins are placed outside their yards for collection tomorrow (Saturday) only.

This was only applicable to areas where bins were not previously collected by the municipality, said metro spokesperson councillor Michael Mkhari.
