NEWSFLASH: Two farm workers injured in armed Krokodilspruit attack

The owner of the farm had to rush to their aid.

Two farm workers were injured during an armed attack in Krokodilspruit, north east of Pretoria, on Wednesday night.

The victims were hit with bricks and a bat in the face by two armed men, said Ian Cameron, head of AfriForum’s community safety forum.

“The owner of the farm Frikkie Mostert rushed to their aid. One worker sustained serious injuries during the incident,” he said.

“According to Mostert, the two attackers were armed with a 9mm pistol and a hunting rifle,” Cameron said.

The two victims, man and a woman, were heard screaming by their employer who grabbed his handgun and ran after the attackers.

“He shot at them but missed. The female victim was hit in the face with a bat, according to Mostert,” Cameron said.
