An elderly man and his domestic worker were assaulted during a home invasion in Laudium in the early hours of Monday.
Four armed robbers managed to gain entry into the house and demanded valuables, according to Wiedabrug police spokesperson Captain Agnes Huma.
They also assaulted the 79-year-old homeowner and the domestic worker with a firearm.

The robbers then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, jewellery and cellphones.
“Both victims were taken to different hospitals for treatment,” said Huma.
A case of house robbery was opened.
No arrests have been made.
