SCHOOL: Curro Thatchfield Cares – Santa Shoeboxes
The Santa Shoebox project collects and distributes gifts for underprivileged children throughout South Africa and Namibia. In 12 years the project has reached over 750 000 children.
On Monday, 3 December 2018, the Santa Shoebox Project organisers of Curro Thatchfield Independent Primary School were extremely excited when they received shoeboxes filled with items such as toiletries, outfits of clothing for boys and girls, stationery, sweets and toys which were collected as part of their term 4 outreach project.
Mrs Marlene Gerber, Executive Head, said: “As usual, our parents’ support was overwhelming and we collected over 450 shoeboxes.”
