The recent busts by Ga-Rankuwa police is an indication that crime would not be tolerated in the community.
Ga-Rankuwa police arrested a total of 41 suspects this week in their continued fight against crime post the festive season.
Police spokesperson Captain Matthews Nkoadi said this week that police will continue to try and outwit criminals.
“The success achieved by our men and women in blue is an indication that we cannot falter nor slow down in their service delivery mandate, which includes the protection of citizens against criminal elements.”
He said the men and women in blue were involved in a weekly disruptive operation aimed at addressing all crimes around Ga-Rankuwa.
“A total of 41 suspects were arrested in this operation that involved activities such as patrols, police visibility around Ga-Rankuwa Complex,” he said.

He said some of the arrested suspects were sought for common assault, assault with intent to cause bodily harm, possession of dagga, malicious damage to property, selling liquor without a license, rape, shoplifting, business burglary, illegal immigrants, armed robbery, sexual assault, the pointing of firearm and housebreaking among others.
“All suspects were expected to appear in the Ga-Rankuwa Magistrate’s Court, while the illegal immigrants would be deported by the Department of Home Affairs.”
