Residents of the Moot spontaneously paid respects in their own way to a veterinarian who died in an armed robbery on Thursday.
Dr Fred Malan of the Jakaranda Animal Hospital was shot at his premises in Frates Road.
Many upset residents from the area placed flowers in front of the hospital on Friday in a tribute to him.

“It was not something that was organised,” said Pretoria Moot CPF chairperson Elsabe van Staden.
“Residents spontaneously started placing flowers in front of the hospital.”
Police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubela previously said a case of murder was opened and was being investigated by the police.

He said that three suspects, one female and two males, were involved in the robbery.
Malan was shot in his chest and later succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
Van Staden said the robbers took some cellphones before fleeing the scene.
