Police are still searching for three men behind an armed robbery at a smallholding in Onderstepoort on Wednesday.
This while one of their victims is still recovering in hospital.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning a middle-aged couple was attacked in their bedroom, while their three-year-old child was asleep in the house.
Lieb van Jaarsveld and his wife Mavis were overwhelmed by the men at around 04:30.

A friend of the couple, Freek Pienaar, said the robbers gained entrance into the house by breaking the front door.
“One of the robbers had a firearm and another was armed with a knife and screwdriver,” Pienaar told Rekord.
“Lieb was shot in his lower body and Mavis was stabbed in her right arm during the attack.”
Pienaar said Lieb was reportedly shot in the knee.
“The bullet got stuck in his upper leg.”
He said Mavis’ attacker had apparently meant to stab her in the neck.
“She just managed to block with her arm,” said Pienaar.
“The wound was pretty deep – almost to the bone. It is clear the man wanted to kill her.”

Pienaar said Lieb was rushed to Tshwane District hospital.
“It isn’t going well. His leg looks pretty bad and he doesn’t seem to be getting the right treatment.”
Pienaar said the robbers had looted the Van Jaarvelds’ home of all valuable items, and also stole their vehicle.
“The bakkie was later found, however,” said Pienaar.
“The robbers probably realised it had a tracker and left it abandoned in Soshanguve.”
