Second Capital Park sidewalk champ of the year announced

The winners of this year’s second monthly Capital Park best-kept sidewalk competition were announced this week.
Hennie and Gerda Breedt of Third Avenue were the winners.
“We are honoured to receive this award,” Gerda told Rekord on Friday.
However, the couple said that they could not take credit for the award alone.
“Our gardener assists us in our garden and it would not have looked this beautiful if it weren’t for him,” she said.
The gardener, Aubrey Chauke said it was a privilege for him to work in the garden.
The sidewalk of the month competition is the brainchild of the Capital Park Residents and Ratepayers’ Association (CAPRRA).
The first winner of the competition was announced on 1 May last year.
