Two new traffic circles in Cradock Avenue in Eldoraigne are expected to bring much needed relief to motorists.
The circles will be built on the intersection of Saxby and Cradock avenues and further down Cradock Avenue towards the Eldoraigne high school.
They are expected to be completed by the end of March this year.

The project came about as a limited amount of money had been made available, said local ward councillor Cindy Billson.
“I have been inundated with requests for speed bumps, but unfortunately we simply don’t have the funds available,” she said.
Billson said she understood the intersection of Saxby and Cradock avenues had been a “thorn in the side of motorists” for several years.

“The circles will definitely help to make it easier to get into Saxby Avenue,” she said.
“Especially motorists coming from the Eldoraigne high school will be very relieved to find the circles installed. We have even had a few accidents in the past at the intersection.”
Billson could not confirm exactly how much the circles would cost to build, but said any money left over would be used to provide further traffic calming measures on the road.
Construction on the circles are still in the planning phase.
