The slain Matwetwe film lead actor Sibusiso Khwinana will be remembered during a memorial service on Thursday.
It will be held at the AFM Hilltop Restoration Centre in Block K, Soshanguve from 11:00.
The memorial service follows after the 25-year-old rising star was stabbed to death in an apparent fight with a robber who stole his phone outside the Sterland Mall on Friday evening.
“One of the suspects grabbed his phone thereafter Mr Khwinana chased him and a fight ensued,” Sterland general manager Rentia van Rooyen said.
Paramedics declared Khwinana dead at the scene.

It was understood Khwinana his friend who escaped unharmed were leaving the mall after a screening of the movie when they were approached by three men.
Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo confirmed police were looking for one perpetrator but did not rule out the possibility of there being more.
“People with information must come forward,” he said.
When Rekord spoke to a source close to the film’s director Kagiso Lediga, she said the production team was “devastated” by the loss.
On Monday, family spokesperson Khalo Khwinana said the family was trying to come to terms with the news of the actor’s death.
Gauteng sport, recreation, art and culture MEC Faith Mazibuko also joined community members and organisations which Khwinana was involved as they paid homage to the fallen actor.
Khwinana’s funeral service was set for Saturday at the same venue as the memorial service.
A murder and robbery docket was opened for investigation.
