Erasmia police are still searching for the assailants who shot and killed a man in Mooiplaas, Centurion last week.
The suspects then raped his girlfriend, police said.
The incident happened last week Monday around 01:00.
“The victim and his partner were attacked inside their shack where the man was shot dead,” spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto.
“His partner was allegedly raped in the nearby bushes.”
Moloto said on Friday that no arrests were made, but the investigation was ongoing.
“Erasmia SAPS management is appealing to the residents of Mooiplaas to help with information that could lead to the arrest of the gunmen,” Moloto said.
The motive behind the killing is unclear at this stage.
Cases of rape and murder are being investigated.
