Mabopane police have arrested four men for a business robbery and for possession of stolen property and live ammunition.
Earlier this week, members of the Mabopane tracing team received a lookout for a white Toyota Hilux single cab that was used during a business robbery at Fair Price furniture shop in Mabopane’s Loate section, said police spokesperson Captain Rheineth Motlana.

“Officers followed up information and together with the trio task team, they spotted the vehicle at a certain house at Sun Valley. A silver grey VW Polo was also found at the houses. The vehicle was circulated and found to have been reported stolen at Vosloorus,” she said.
Motlana said the house (in Sun Valley) was searched and property alleged to have been stolen was found.
“A plastic bag containing 14 live rounds of ammunition was seized.”
A case of possession of suspected stolen property and ammunition is being investigated.
“Mabopane police will leave no stone unturned to create a safer community and to send a message to criminals that Mabopane is not a place for criminal activities,” Motlana said.
