Lyttelton police arrested another three suspects for various motor vehicle-related crimes on Friday.
The arrest happened just after 18:00.
Police had been on a routine patrol when they were notified of suspicious behaviour in the Jean Avenue area near Clubview.
“While in the area our officers spotted a white Ford Ecosport,” said police spokesperson Captain Dave Miller.
“A high speed chase ensued as the occupants of the vehicle tried to flee. Our officers chased them through the streets of Lyttelton.”
Police managed to corner the three in nearby Sullivan Street.
