A so-called “drug house” has been uncovered and thousands of rands worth of drugs seized by the Tshwane metro police.
The discovery was made on Sunday after metro police received a tip-off according to a statement.
“Ammunition and different kinds of drugs with an estimated value of about R200 000 were found,” said the metro police.
As the officers entered the home the owner of the house fled the scene.
Two other tenants found on the premises were arrested.
In a separate incident, a stolen black Mercedes Benz was recovered on Sunday morning in Kgosi Mampuru Street.
Metro police noticed the vehicle without any number plates or license discs.
“When they stopped the vehicle, the officers discovered that the inside panel of the vehicle is white,” said the metro police.
“Upon further investigation the car was confirmed to have been reported as stolen.”
Two males, aged 28 and 43, were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.
