One shot in foiled north night club robbery
Five other would-be robbers were arrested by police the following day.
One person was shot and wounded during an exchange of fire between a business owner and alleged robbers at VIP Lounge in Rosslyn earlier this week.
“The wounded suspect is in hospital under police guard,” police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele said.
Five other would-be robbers were arrested in Soshanguve when police continued their search on Tuesday.

“During the arrest, two unlicensed firearms were recovered,” Makhubele said.
They will face charges of attempted business robbery and possession of unlicensed firearms.
“The arrested suspects will appear in Pretoria Magistrate’s Court soon,” he said.
Makhubele said the provincial management commended the quick response by police and urged community members to continue reporting crime by contacting the Crime Stop number on 08600-10111.
When approached for comment VIP Lounge owner Chris Jones declined to comment.
