Man arrested in Pta for alleged rape and kidnapping

Police found the man had two pending rape cases from Lebowakgomo in Limpopo against him.

A 41-year-old man is due in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court this week for allegedly kidnapping and raping a woman at the weekend.

The man was arrested in Sunnyside on Saturday, according to Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubela.

Police were on a routine patrol when they investigated a suspicious black car next to a park near Loveday and Justice Mahommed streets.

The car had two occupants, namely a man and a woman.

“They also found implements believed to have been either used or stolen during a commission of crime.”
