Power outage affects parts of north

Investigations revealed that a conductor on a 33kv transformer in Soshanguve IA substation burnt off.

A large part of Soshanguve is currently without power this morning due to an electricity outage.

The Tshwane metro confirmed they were attending to the power outage.

“Investigations revealed that a conductor on a 33kv transformer in Soshanguve IA substation burnt off. Technicians have managed to isolate the substation to make the necessary repairs,” said Tshwane metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.

He said restoration time was unknown.

Areas affected are Soshanguve Blocks BB, DD, FF, HH, JJ, GG, IA, PP1, PP2, PP3, LL, and NN.
