Two busted for dagga in Eersterust
In a separate incident, a person was arrested in Pretoria West for being in possession of drugs.
Two men, aged 22 and 27, were arrested for being in the possession of dagga in Eersterust on Thursday.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Sam Shibambo said the arrest was made in Wynberg Avenue around 16:30.
“The police received information that there was a suspicious white Mercedes-Benz A45 in Wynberg Avenue,” he said.
“They rushed to the given address, where they found two occupants inside the vehicle.”
Shibambo said that when the car and its occupants were searched, the police found 80 packets of dagga with an estimated street value of R800.

The two were arrested and will appear in the Hatfield Magistrate’s Court soon.
In Pretoria West, another person was busted for drugs on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Constable Sibongile Vuma said the arrest was made while police were doing normal stop-and-searches in WF Nkomo Street.
“A silver Lexus was pulled over and a random search was done. During the search, police found small brown wrapped packets containing a white powder in a plastic bag under the car seat,” she said.
Vuma said police suspected it to be nyaope.
“The suspect has been arrested and detained for possession of drugs at the Pretoria West police station.”
