Half-naked trespasser arrested in north
A man will make a brief appearance in the Pretoria North court after he was caught trespassing a retirement village half naked on Wednesday evening.
Security guards, local CPF and the police were called to a retirement village on Wednesday evening after a half-naked man was caught jumping the fence.
Security firm Guard-Net guards responded to a call-out at the Bougainvilla Retirement Village in Montana at around 6.00 pm on 23 July after one of their patrollers saw a man jumping the fence.
“Patroller Josef Milanzi saw an unknown man without pants jumping over the fence and called for back up,” Jeandre Venter, Portfolio manager for Guard-Net security told Rekord.

A reaction officer, Sector 2 CPF patrollers and Exec Ops Protection Services officers quickly responded.
“The suspect was cuffed and taken back into the village to point out exactly where he had jumped the fence,” Venter said, adding that he had jumped from a neighbouring estate.
“A guard from Montana Gardens Estate was also looking for the half-naked fence jumper.”
It is alleged that there were three house break-ins in the Montana Gardens security estate last week.
Venter said the Sinoville police were called to the scene and arrested the man for trespassing.
“The suspect was wearing only a jacket, shirt and underpants,” said police spokesperson Warrant Officer Johan van Dyk.
The man was arrested for trespassing and will make a brief appearance in the Pretoria North court on 25 July.

Van Dyk said the police were investigating the circumstances around the trespassing.
“The suspect’s finger prints will be screened to see if he is possibly linked to any other reported crimes in the area”.
