NEWSFLASH: Man falls 7m out of tree in north

The man suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries.

A man was seriously injured when he fell off a tree in Pretoria North on Tuesday afternoon.

The private contractor was working up the tree on the R513 road in Annlin, Pretoria north when he fell seven metres.

“The man was busy cutting the tree when he lost his footing and fell out of the tree,” Netcare 911 emergency service spokesperson Shawn Herbst said.

Herbst said the man fell and landed in a trench close to the tree.

“Paramedics reacted to the call at around 15:50 yesterday afternoon, and found the man had sustained serious injuries.”

A Netcare 911 helicopter was deployed to the scene and the man was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment for multiple fractures and internal injuries.
