Moot police searching for missing teen

Police made contact with Caylee's boyfriend but said he had no knowledge of her whereabouts and had not seen her in a number of days.

The Wonderboompoort police are investigating a case of missing 16-year-old Caylee Albrecht.

Caylee was reported missing to Wonderboompoort police on 9 August.

Her grandmother reported she’d last seen her on 24 July 2019, at about 21:00, said police spokesperson Constable Mandlakayise Zwane.

“The grandmother indicated that she only reported the case late because she had thought that Caylee had gone to visit her boyfriend as she had previously done. She said she really got worried when her granddaughter did not return after so many days,” he said.
