A third deceased was still trapped inside one of the trucks on Friday afternoon.
Three people have died and two were injured in an accident on the N14 highway near Centurion on Friday afternoon.
This according to Tshwane emergency services who were still attending to the scene at 13:10.
“I can confirm that three men were killed in an accident involving three trucks on the N14 direction Pretoria near Jean Avenue,” said Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso.
“Paramedics were still removing the third deceased accident victim from the wreckage of one of the trucks.”
Mabaso said the N14 North remained completely closed to traffic on Friday afternoon.
“Due to the nature of the accident and the deceased who still needs to be extricated, the road will remain closed.”
“We advise motorists to use alternative routes such as the Old Johannesburg Road and N1 when travelling to Pretoria CBD.”
The exact cause of the accident is unknown and will form part of the police investigation.
