North man faces eight rape charges
He attacked and raped eight women between the ages of 14 and 40.
A 37-year-old Hammanskraal man will know his fate on Wednesday in connection with eight charges of rape.
The man allegedly targeted women crossing the Babelegi bridge alone between 2006 and 2014, said Hammanskraal police spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi.
“He attacked and raped women between the ages of 14 and 40. He would pounce on them as they were using the shortcut,” he said.

“Detectives searched for the suspect for seven years, until he was arrested in 2016, and we managed to link him to all the cases.”
Moremi said the accused was expected in the Moretele magistrate’s court on Wednesday for judgment.
