NEWSFLASH: Unfair labour practices march to affect west roads

The march is expected to start at 10:00 and end at 13:00.

A march against unfair labour practices is expected to result in road closures in Pretoria West on Wednesday morning.

“The march, led by the academic and professional staff association, is expected to start on the corner of the R101 and Roger Dyson Road at around 10:00,” said metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba.

“The march will then make its way towards Roger Dyson Road.”

“The participants will turn right into Voortrekker road and then proceed straight until they reach 1 Military hospital.”

The march is expected to conclude at 13:00.

The following roads that will be affected:

– Frikkie Meyer Road

– Voortrekker Road

“The marchers will then disperse from 1 Military hospital once the march is over,” Mahamba said. 

“Metro officials will be deployed to monitor the situation.”

Mahamba urged motorists to avoid the affected roads and to make use of alternative routes.
