The family of a missing Mamelodi woman is hoping for her safe return.
Ntombenhle Tshegofatso Cecilia Mahlaku (23) from Mamelodi West Section D6 went missing on October 3 when she went to collect her matric results at Rostec College in town.
Mamelodi police spokesperson Captain Johannes Maheso said they had established a multi-task unit to search for the young woman.
Her mother Theodora Mahlaku reported her missing at the station on Tuesday after she failed to return home.
Theodora said she last saw her daughter in the morning around 10:00 and the last communication the young woman had with her mother was via WhatsApp when she said she was at a friend’s place.
“Further efforts to reach her were fruitless,” said Maheso.
She was wearing light grey jeans, a burgundy long-sleeved shirt and burgundy takkies when she left home.
