Leyds Street between Robert Sobukwe and Kotze streets will be closed from 07:00 until the march is over.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes as several streets in the Pretoria CBD will be affected by a protest march on Monday morning.

This as the South African Police Services (SAPS) will hold an awareness campaign march against gender-based violence.

The march will start from Paul Kruger Street southbound at 10:00, according to Tshwane metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba.

The group will then march to Jubilee Park.

“They [marchers] will turn left into Francis Baard Street then right into Leyds Street then halt at Sunnyside SAPS for 15 minutes, then proceed with Kotze Street until Jubilee Park.”
