More than 200 north crime incidents reported
The 207 incidents took place from the beginning of June to 14 October, and incidents include 43 armed house robberies, attempted murder and murder.
More than 200 crime-related incidents in the Apies River area and surroundings have been reported to a private security company over the past four months or so.
This was according to statistics released by GAC Risk Solution, in collaboration with AfriForum, on their Facebook page.
The 207 incidents took place from the beginning of June to 14 October.
Areas covered include Vastfontein, Lusthof, Bultfontein (north and south), Grootvlei (east and west) and Honingsnestkrans.
They include 43 armed house robberies, attempted murder and murder.
There were 28 housebreakings when the homeowner was not home and 24 robberies while the owner was home.
There were 72 incidents of theft in outbuildings and storerooms and 29 of stock theft, a further 21 of copper cable thefts and 11 borehole pump thefts.
A total of 93 attempted burglary incidents were also reported during the period.

“We urge all members living in the area to join security structures such as AfriForum or their local CPF,” said GAC Risk Solutions spokesperson Juan du Plessis.
He said that since some residents do not report crime-related incidents, the true statistics could never truly be determined.
“It is in the best interests of you and the communities if all crime-related incidents are reported, no matter how big or small,” said Du Plessis.
