Flooded roads and rain damage in the Moot, west and north of Pta
A Rietondale resident returned home on Monday morning to discover that his house has been hit by a landslide.

Several roads in the Moot, west and north of Pretoria were closed due to heavy rains in the area today.
In the north of Pretoria, the R101 towards Bon Accord has been closed after the Apies River overflowed, said Charles Kemp of the Sinoville CPF.
“The low-water bridges in Amandel and Rachel de Beer roads have also been closed,” he said.

Kemp said the N4 highway in a westbound direction, between the N1 highway and Rosslyn should also be avoided.
The Sinoville Centre was also flooded earlier.

He said the landslide was due to the heavy rain and the ground moving.

“Deysel Street and Van Der Hoff Road close to the Coke factory should also be avoided,” he said.
According to community activist, Johan Cloete, Bremer Street through the Daspoort tunnel should be avoided.
