Elderly man brutally murdered in east home
Three suspects, armed with a knife and a firearm, broke into the house and attacked the couple.
A 65-year-old man was stabbed to death during a house robbery in the early hours of Tuesday morning at Magalies in the Cullinan area.
Cullinan police spokesperson Constable Connie Moganedi said the deceased man and his wife were sleeping in their house when three suspects, armed with a knife and a firearm, broke in and attacked them.
“The attack resulted in the death of the man. The suspects managed to get away with the television set and other valuable items,” she said.
Moganedi said police have opened a case of house robbery and murder.
“We are pleading for the community’s assistance with any information regarding the cases being investigated.”
