Woman robbed at east shopping centre

"The victim was held up at her vehicle and a handbag was stolen."

A woman was held at her vehicle and robbed in a parking lot at a shopping centre in Lynnwood Road.

On Tuesday at around 11:30, a woman’s handbag was stolen at Glenfair Boulevard centre.

Centre management of Glenfair Boulevard confirmed that an alleged robbery took place at the shopping centre’s parking lot earlier on Tuesday.

“The victim was held up at her vehicle and a handbag was stolen. The isolated incident was reported to the local authorities and investigations are underway.”

“Should further information become available to us, management will share as appropriate, and in alignment with centre management protocols.”

“In the interim, the safety of our shoppers and tenants remains a key priority and focus during these challenging times,” said centre management of Glenfair Boulevard.

Police are yet to comment on the alleged robbery.
