Eskom implements stage 1 load shedding on Wednesday
The power utility said that the power generation system had improved and as a result, load shedding was reduced from stage 2 to stage 1.

Eskom has announced that stage 1 load shedding would commence from 09:00 on Wednesday.
The power utility said that the power generation system had improved and as a result, load shedding would be reduced from stage 2 to stage 1.
“This additional capacity has significantly reduced the strain on the generation system. The progress, however, is still not sufficient to enable us to suspend this current unfortunate period of load shedding,” Eskom said.
Stage 1 load shedding will be implemented from 09:00 until 22:00.
