One killed north head-on collision

Four adults sustained life-threatening injuries, while two minors sustained serious injuries.

One person was killed when two cars collided head-on in Derdepoort, north of Pretoria on Saturday.

Medi-Edge emergency service volunteers responded to the scene on Moloto Road.

Medi-Edge said reports indicated that two light motor vehicles had collided head-on.

“Four adult patients sustained life-threatening injuries and two minors sustained serious injuries.

“Unfortunately, one adult patient succumbed to his injuries on the scene.”

Medi-Edge said the injured patients received advanced life support treatment before being taken to hospital.

“The exact cause of the accident is still unknown and will form part of an investigation.”
