Eskom escalates load shedding from stage 2 to stage 4
Eskom will escalate the level of load shedding to stage 4 starting from 15:00 until 22:00.

Eskom has announced that load shedding would move from stage 2 to stage 4 from 15:00 until 22:00 on Wednesday.
The power utility said the power system was still severely constrained and that the cold weather had placed additional demand on the grid.
“Due to the continuing severe generation supply constraints caused by multiple-unit breakdowns, as well as the additional demand caused by the cold weather, Eskom will escalate the level of load shedding to stage 4 starting from 15:00 until 22:00,” the power utility said.
Eskom said load shedding would persist throughout the weekend.
