Supersport United denies club for sale
Last week, reports circulated on social media regarding the sale of the club hours after the PSL announced Multichoice/DStv as the league’s main sponsor.

SuperSport United have refuted claims that the club was up for sale ahead of the 2020/21 Premier Soccer League season.
Last week, reports circulated on social media regarding the sale of the club hours after the PSL announced Multichoice/DStv as the league’s main sponsor.
SuperSport United, which is also owned by Multichoice, dismissed the claims in a statement
“SuperSport United Football Club has been made aware of the rumours and speculation regarding the potential sale of the club. These are untrue. SuperSport United Football Club can categorically state that there have been no such approaches and, more importantly, the club is not up for sale,” it said.

The Pretoria club was formed 26 years ago, and has gone on to win 14 major titles in the PSL era, making it one of the most successful teams in the country.
United will be in action when the PSL resumes next month. They will face Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in the MTN 8.
