Play Your Part campaign school competition
Learners are expected to create a one-minute video talking about the positive impact that the learners made in their communities during lockdown.
Learners in grades 11 and 12 from Stanza Bopape secondary school and Tsako Thabo secondary school in Mamelodi have the opportunity to win R50 000 for their schools.
Brand South Africa’s Play Your Part Campaign offered the learners an opportunity to tell their stories on how they have shown active citizenship in their communities during lockdown.
General manager of Brand SA, Sithembile Ntombela, said the learners are expected to create a one-minute video talking about the positive impact that the learners made in their communities.
“The videos will be posted on Facebook under the hashtags #playyourpart #Getinvolved. In celebrating this great act, Brand South Africa is giving away R50 000 to a school that has the most impact.”
The competition will be running until 28 October 2020.

“The competition is a once-off campaign and has been running in all the provinces with other schools such as Bokgoni secondary school and Amogelang secondary school who also had the same opportunity.
“We believe these stories will go a long way in giving hope to ordinary South Africans and we selected previously disadvantaged schools,” said Ntombela.
“Gauteng youngsters are taking to Facebook partaking how they play their part in bringing about change, impacting their communities positively and bringing hope during these difficult times.”
