Pretoria to bake in heatwave conditions this week
Mercury expected to hit the 30s, warns weather service.
Warm weather was still on the cards for Pretoria going into the new week, the SA Weather Service advised.
“The temperatures are warm and we’re expecting a heatwave that will break out by Tuesday,” forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela said.
The heatwave was expected predominantly around the Gauteng province.
For the remainder of Sunday, Thobela said temperatures would be fine until around the afternoon, when it was expected to be partly cloudy with isolated thundershowers.
Temperatures were expected to peak at 35 degrees.
