“A high speed chased occurred and the vehicle was spotted at 30th Avenue and Pierneef Street. The suspects were pulled over and taken into custody.

“The suspects are possibly connected to an armed robbery in Arcadia,” said Breedt.

Kilnerpark Security spokesperson Ancelize van der Kooi said she received a phone call from community members informing them of shots that were fired in the area.

“The area was closed off as police investigate,” she said.

Although initial reports stated that shots were fired, no shots were fired according to Breedt.

The suspects were found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and stolen goods.
