Schools get donation to keep lights on
“The emergency bulbs work even when there is no power supply or lights are off."
Three schools in the Olievenhoutbosch township received a handsome donation of back-up emergency bulbs for their matriculants on Monday.
A whopping 400 emergency bulbs were donated to Steve Tshwete secondary school, Seshegong secondary school and Olievenhoutbosch secondary school.
“The emergency bulbs work even when there is no power supply or lights are off,” said Dimpho, Mashubathele, Rolihlahla and Nomzamo (DMRN) Maepa education trust chairperson Kgosi Maepa.

“We would like to thank our donors for their selfless contributions,” Maepa said.
He urged more donors to come forward to assist them so they could reach out to more learners.

Maepo, who is also the Greater Tshwane ANC region chairperson, further said they were also working on more projects which, among others, included acquiring sanitary towels, alleviating hunger and assisting the elderly.
